Godzilla x Kong: Supernova Confirmed for North American Release on March 26, 2027

The sixth Monsterverse film, directed by Grant Sputore and starring Dan Stevens and Kaitlyn Dever, opens in North America (including IMAX) on March 26, 2027.

〈Godzilla x Kong: Supernova〉 is the sixth film in Legendary's 'Monsterverse' and the sequel to 〈Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire〉 (2024). The official plot has not yet been revealed; only a brief synopsis has been released, stating that the film will explore coexistence and trust between humans and giant monsters, along with a new clash between Godzilla and Kong.

Grant Sputore, director of 〈I Am Mother〉, has taken over from Adam Wingard, who directed the previous films. The screenplay was written by David Callaham of 〈Shang-Chi〉. Dan Stevens returns as Trapper from the previous film, while Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O'Connell, Alicia Debnam-Carey, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, and Sam Neill join the cast.

Filming began in Queensland, Australia, in April 2025, followed by shoots in Utah, Mexico City, London, Bangkok, and other locations. The title was revealed alongside a teaser trailer in May 2025.

Distributed by Warner Bros., it will be released in North America on March 26, 2027, with IMAX screenings also planned. The domestic release date has not yet been announced.
