Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Set for North American Release on June 18, 2027
The final chapter of the Spider-Verse trilogy, after several date shifts, opens in North America on June 18, 2027, including IMAX and premium formats.
〈Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse〉 is the concluding installment in Sony Pictures Animation’s Spider-Verse trilogy. Beginning immediately after the ending of 〈Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse〉(2023), it follows Miles Morales as he struggles to protect his family while trapped and pursued in another universe.
Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson co-direct, with a screenplay by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham. The voice cast from the previous film returns, including Shameik Moore (Miles), Hailee Steinfeld (Gwen), Jake Johnson, Oscar Isaac, Jason Schwartzman, Daniel Kaluuya, and Nicolas Cage.
The film was originally scheduled for release in March 2024 but was removed from the schedule because of production delays and the 2023 actors’ strike. It was later set for June 4, 2027, moved to June 25, and then brought forward by one week to June 18, Father’s Day weekend.
Distributed by Sony Pictures, it will be released in North America on June 18, 2027, and will also be shown in IMAX and premium formats for the first time for a Sony Animation film. The South Korean release date has not been announced.
