In the peaceful village of Pazos, Aniceto and his wife Irene appear to be the perfect couple. But one night, when Irene is brutally attacked in what appears to be a robbery and taken to the hospital, their everyday lives are thrust into the heart of a criminal investigation. Murder in Galicia follows the suspicions cast over close relationships, beginning with this attack.
An Investigator Convinced of the Suspect’s Guilt
Elías, played by Tristán Ulloa, is a Civil Guard sergeant convinced that Aniceto is the culprit. But as Irene fights for her life, Elías must confront a system he believes refuses to heed his warnings or protect the victim. With the investigation unfolding while the suspect remains free, the premise places the tension between the process of finding the perpetrator and protecting the victim front and center.
A Galician Case Told in Four Parts
Netflix has introduced the series as a four-part production inspired by true events. Alongside Ulloa, the cast includes Carlos Blanco, Miguel Borines, Marta Nieto, Verónica Sánchez, and Daniel Ibáñez, with filming taking place in various locations across Galicia. The contrast between the quiet village where the story begins and the case moving between the hospital and the investigation scenes forms the backdrop of the story.
Bambú Producciones and Carlos Sedes
The series is produced by Bambú Producciones and directed by Carlos Sedes. Ramón Campos co-wrote the screenplay with David Orea, Curo Serrano, and Gema R. Neira, and also serves as executive producer. In Netflix’s announcement of its 2026 Spanish releases, Ulloa was introduced as part of the cast of this series.
