《La La Land》 has returned to theaters for its 10th anniversary. Lionsgate’s official film page features a 10th Anniversary Release booking notice along with a 10th anniversary poster. This is not the release of a new film, but a presentation that brings the movie, originally released in 2016, back to theaters.

At the center of the film are Mia, an aspiring actress, and Sebastian, a jazz pianist. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling play the two characters, respectively, portraying a relationship that moves between making a living and pursuing creative dreams in Los Angeles. John Legend appears as Keith, whose role intersects with Sebastian’s musical choices.

Damien Chazelle wrote and directed the film, while Justin Hurwitz handled the music and score. Although it borrows from the form of classic Hollywood musicals, the film is set against everyday life in modern Los Angeles, including auditions, performances, and jobs. That is what gives the work its distinctive character. This screening therefore goes beyond simply bringing back a hit from ten years ago; it offers audiences the chance to experience the songs and choreography again on the big screen and through a theater sound system.

It was released in the United States on December 9, 2016, and in South Korea on December 7 of the same year. The original story and cast remain unchanged, and the 10th anniversary screening is an event that reintroduces the film in its completed cinematic form.
