Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue | Launch Trailer
Disney and Pixar have launched the limited-time Fortnite experience Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue. Players use Bonnie’s room as a hub and search participating creator-made islands for six scattere
Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue is now available in Fortnite for a limited time. Rather than a single battle mode set in the film’s world, this content is a structured adventure connecting multiple creator-made islands. The rescue mission begins when a rift originating in Bonnie’s imaginary room scatters the toys across the Fortnite world.
Bonnie’s room, the central hub, is built from the toys’ eye level. Furniture and household items appear like expansive terrain, with paths leading to hidden imaginary spaces. The main objective is to track down Jessie, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Rex, Hamm, and Forky—the six toys—and return them to the room.
Each island offers different challenges. You must find clips for Forky, collect coins for Hamm, and gather crayons while competing in a two-player squad to recover Woody. Rex requires repairing a necklace, Jessie requires collecting Bullseye’s horseshoes, and Buzz requires securing batteries. Rather than simply displaying the film’s characters, the experience is designed so that each island’s distinct gameplay flow contributes to completing the rescue.
Completing the challenges rewards you with movement and interaction abilities such as the Jump Pad, Flint-Knock, Pickaxe, Lift, Teleport, and Web Sling. These abilities are used to explore more of Bonnie’s room, creating a cycle between the rescue missions and hub exploration. The content is available from September 22 through October 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
