Netflix’s animated series Haunted Hotel is returning for Season 2. Its U.S. release date is October 9, 2026. The new season follows Katherine and her family as they try to find their rhythm living at the hotel, while even more supernatural problems come flooding in like guests.
The Collision Between Running a Hotel and Ghostly Chaos
The series is set at the haunted Underveil Hotel. Katherine, a single mother raising two children, runs the place alongside the ghost of her late brother, Nathan. The show’s basic premise brings the practical challenges of operating a lodging business and welcoming paying guests into conflict with the chaos created by ghosts, monsters, and demons who have no intention of leaving.
An Odd Community Run by a Family
Season 2 centers on the family’s attempt to run the hotel as a “proper business.” However, Nathan, the children, Abaddon—the demon trapped in the body of a young boy—and the entities gathering at the hotel keep the story from becoming a simple tale of management. The adult animated comedy continues to place family relationships and supernatural disasters side by side within the same episodes.
The Creative Team and Voice Cast
Matt Roller serves as creator and showrunner, with Erica Hayes directing. Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides, and Jimmi Simpson are among the principal voice cast. Titmouse, Inc. is involved in production, and the series streams on Netflix.
