The TV anime *Hello, I am a Witch and my Crush Wants me to Make a Love Potion!* will begin airing and streaming in Japan on October 5, 2026. The premise centers on Roze being asked by Hariju, the knight she has a crush on, to make a love potion ‘for someone else,’ making the choices that shape their relationship before a confession the key focus.

A Request Born from Heartbreak

Roze, a witch who lives by a lake, has secretly liked Hariju, but learns from something he says that her feelings will not reach him. Even so, Roze cannot bring herself to refuse the request, and continues her daily life while hoping to spend time with him, at least until the potion is completed. Rather than the achievement of magic itself, the story creates tension through the overlap between feelings known by only one side and the relationship between requester and maker.

The Distance Between Roze and Hariju

The official introduction presents Roze as a witch accustomed to staying at home and Hariju as a diligent knight who looks after others. As a result, their relationship does not begin as an equal romantic dynamic, but as a structure in which one person grants a request and the other receives help. The moment the potion is completed becomes a condition that could bring their time together to an end, making how the two interpret each other’s actions an important point to watch.
