《Zootopia 2》’s Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde do not become perfect partners even after solving a major case. Chief Bogo orders them to participate in the “Partners in Crisis” counseling program, revealing that this story focuses not only on tracking down a culprit but also on how the two police officers work together.

The Snake Who Sets the Investigation in Motion

The venomous snake Gary De’Snake, who appears in the city, is the starting point of a mystery that shakes Zootopia’s order. Judy and Nick infiltrate unfamiliar areas as they follow the incidents sparked by his arrival. As the official synopsis suggests, the case develops in a direction that the two cannot resolve using only their usual methods, making their individual judgment and division of roles important variables in the investigation.

Conflict After Becoming a ‘Perfect Duo’

While the previous film followed Judy and Nick, who came from different backgrounds, solving cases together, the sequel begins with the idea that their relationship does not automatically mean stable teamwork. The counseling device does more than explain their conflicts; it leads to the question of how they can trust and coordinate with each other’s decisions during a dangerous investigation. The provided video, “The Heart of the Cinematic Phenomenon,” also presents the tension in this partnership as a central subject.

Returning Voices and New Characters

Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman return as the voices of Judy and Nick, respectively, while Ke Huy Quan plays Gary De’Snake. Fortune Feimster’s Nibbles and Quinta Brunson’s counselor Dr. Fuzzby are also new additions. Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, the film was released in theaters on November 26, 2025.
