Obsess | Official Trailer | Netflix
Obsess is a psychological horror series about Talal, who returns to Kuwait to mourn his father and is drawn back into a cursed obsessive relationship. It premieres on Netflix on October 30, 2026.
Talal returns to Kuwait for his father’s funeral, but instead of a time of mourning, he finds himself confronting relationships from the past that were never fully resolved. Netflix’s psychological horror series Obsess follows him as he experiences increasingly unfamiliar signs and fractured memories in the hometown he knows so well, gradually being pulled back into the traces of obsession.
The key change in the revealed premise is that “return” is not a safe reunion but the starting point of terror. Following his father’s death, Talal is surrounded by unsettling visions, fragmented memories, and secrets from the past, while the recurring name “Hessa” blurs the boundary between present reality and buried emotions. It is a structure in which a family-centered drama transforms into a psychological threat.
The series stars Yacoub Alfarhan, Haya Abdulsalam, and Laila Abdullah, and is directed by Saeed El Marouk. Produced and written by Kuwaiti production company Shasha, this four-part series explores, within its tightly compressed runtime, how the characters’ guilt and desires become entangled with supernatural unease.
Obsess premieres on Netflix on October 30, 2026. The original trailer places Talal’s unsettled perspective after his return and the period setting of 1970s Kuwait front and center.
