A Holiday Romance That Begins with a Protection Detail

*Guarding Stars* is a romantic film about a no-nonsense bodyguard assigned to protect a charming action star during the holiday season. It begins with a clearly defined professional relationship between the protectee and the bodyguard, but emotions and secrets become entangled between them, making Christmas an even more complicated time. The story centers on the collision between a glamorous star's daily life and the bodyguard's principled work.

A Netflix Film Adapted from a Novel

The film was inspired by Katherine Center's 2022 novel *The Bodyguard*. It is directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum and stars Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki. Andy MacDowell, Walker Hayes, Noah LaLonde, Toby Sandeman, Rachel Ancheryl, Phil Brooks, Ava Max, and Shaun Johnston are also part of the cast.

Worldwide Release on November 18

Netflix has introduced the film as a romance movie for the holiday season and announced that it will be released worldwide on November 18, 2026. By exploring both the duty of protecting an actor's private space and a relationship that becomes increasingly unsteady as the two grow closer, the film creates narrative tension through the professional boundaries of bodyguard work rather than simply telling a love story.
