Zootopia Shaken by the Arrival of a Reptile

Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde take on a case as a team once again. The central variable foreshadowed by the final trailer is Gary DeSnake, the reptile who appears in Zootopia. In a city inhabited by mammals, the arrival of a snake is more than the addition of a new character; it becomes the catalyst for the two officers to confront a case outside the familiar order.

Infiltration Is the Condition for Solving the Case

The official film introduction states that Judy and Nick infiltrate unexpected parts of the city to solve a mystery. As the scope of the investigation expands, their roles also shift between tracking, conversation, and responding in the field. Judy’s direct approach and Nick’s ability to read situations become investigative methods that test the partnership itself.

The Duo Faces Its First Real Test Since the Previous Film

Disney explains that the sequel is set immediately after the previous film and deals with the complicated collaboration between the two characters, who have only just become official partners. Ke Huy Quan joins the cast as Gary, while Judy and Nick are once again played by Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, respectively. Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, the film was released in theaters on November 26, 2025.
